After one of our language/love programs, one of our beloveds
had a good hour and a half with us in the van until we got him back to his
home. He began sharing some difficult things that were going on at home. Then
he jumped in his story to when he was younger. He shared about being bullied at
school (for the few years he was allowed to attend), about being bullied by his
neighbors, about being hurt at home, and about being bullied even in the church
his family attended.
He buried his head in his elbow, and began to sob. After a little while he looked up, and signed “And then Signs of Love drove up!” He smiled with tears still streaming down his face. “It was the first time I knew Signs of Love, and it just drove up in this van in 2014.”
Not uncommon to many of our beloveds, his life timeline was “before
Signs of Love” and “after Signs of Love,” and he could see a difference that
was unbearable to think of what it would have been like to be going through his
current struggles at home without “love” on his side encouraging him, and
reminding him of who he is, and Whose he is!
Imagine having never experienced love the first 20-something years of your life. For everyone involved with us, you are making a difference in bringing love into the lives of so many that have never experienced it before! With all our hearts, thank you.
